The book opens in a courtroom, with the verdict about to be delivered, so you know that our protagonist in the dock has a story to tell. The book then flashes back to fill in the details.

I was hoping this would be a Gone Girl type thriller, but it wasn't quite that good. It was effective enough, and kept me interested, but 3 months after reading it I can't remember much about what happened, so it can't have made that much of an impression.

Ella liked it though!
